A VERY HOPEFUL POEM BY DALLAS McCOY
"Hope on the Rise" {I}
Some find hope in the love o' their honey's heart/
Others, they find it in makin' new starts/
Some find hope in a bottom o' a bottle o' wine/
And others, they find it in shortenin' the end o' the line/
Some find hope in the Bible and they pray/
Others, they find it in the birth o' a new day/
Some find hope through songs o' yester-year/
And others, they find it-It's never far from here/
Sometimes you gotta dig/
Sometimes it's right before your eyes/
But know there's always hope on the rise/
Sometimes it doesn't wanta stay/
But it never goes away/
I've got no reason to lie/
Said, there's always hope on the rise/
Don't lose face/
You'll find your reason/
You'll find your way/
Just keep believin'/
Break will the light o' the day/
To our destiny/
Closer to a peace o' mind/
And perfect harmony/
Carry on, you're apart o' this song/
